All children begin the study of Latin in Year 5. Thereafter, it is not compulsory. However, we remain fully committed to the teaching of Latin, which is a serious academic option for a large number of children as they prepare for their transfer exam at 13+. There is provision for two and sometimes three sets of Latin in Year 6 and above.
