Sleeping at school
St Andrew’s offers full boarding, weekly boarding, and overnight ‘sleepovers’ to girls and boys from Year 3 (age 7). Short-stay boarders can also be accommodated for half a term, one term or longer.
The House Parents, who have a young family of their own, have created a very caring, friendly and homely atmosphere in the boarding house. The number of boarding places is limited to ensure that each child is given the individual attention that he or she needs.
International students benefit immensely from boarding at an English Prep school. They experience a different culture, whilst improving their English by specialist teaching which is both entertaining and educational, using role-play, communication games and project work.
Some boarders are invited out by day pupils at the weekend but for those who stay, there is a huge range of weekends activities, many of which take advantage of Eastbourne’s local attractions and seaside setting.
